STONE AND THREAD is a fast growing online jewelry brand led by women and a contemporary clientele. We’re a young and ambitious company looking to reinvent an outdated, conservative (but massive) industry. Style comes first, but just because we have expensive tastes doesn’t mean we have to make expensive jewelry. Ethically sourced and conflict-free, we produce our in-house offering in the same places as the Fifth Avenue brands, but crazy margins aren’t really our thing. So you can always expect the most accurate parts at prices and quality you can’t justify.

Social media manager

STONE AND THREAD is looking for an energetic, innovative and results driven Social Media Manager who is excited to lead and execute our organic social media strategy. The position, reporting directly to the Vice President of Marketing and Branding, will be responsible for increasing brand visibility by developing a creative, eye-catching and social media presence in tandem with tracking and analysis results to ensure that we are constantly working to have the greatest impact in the space. The ideal candidate has an innate sense of ‘brand’ and what makes customers fall in love with brands both visually and storytelling, while being good at marketing with a mindset focused on the results.

Responsibilities and duties:

– Create and manage all organic social media strategies and monthly calendars
– Daily end-to-end management of all organic social media channels including, but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and Pinterest
– Consistent experimentation and hypothesis-based testing of new features, channels and content ideas
– Organize and execute collaborations and branded gifts on social networks
– Manage all editorials on social media, paid advertising, emails and website
– Constant search for new potential marketing channels, collaborations with influencers and brands
– Network and collaborate with local micro influencers on content creation
– Monitoring and analysis of social and organic data including, but not limited to, subscriber growth and organic website traffic
– Work with the influencer team to research, identify and maintain relationships with influencers
– Conduct competitive research and analysis on product and content marketing strategies with respect to various branding initiatives
– Mapping of trends and weekly update of the team on the evolution of the social landscape
– Respond to all public comments and DMs

Minimum qualifications and skills:

– 1-2 years of experience in social media marketing and / or content creation
– Proven track record of growing social media and executing strategy
– A great thinker who can conceptualize ideas with potential for virality and reach while remaining true to the brand’s identity
– Well organized with great skills in time management and prioritization
– Excellent writing skills
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office
– Mastery of Photoshop
– Exceptional level of attention to detail
– Energetic and highly motivated
– Creative thinker and storyteller, out of the ordinary
– Excellent interpersonal skills and networking ability
– Must be based in New York
